Bappi Da is the one who introduced synthesised Disco Music in Bollywood, thus his name as Disco King.
Bappi Lahiri Songs became Super Hit Dance Songs. He started learning to play tabla at the age of 3. His idol since childhood was Elvis Presley and he inspired him to wear Gold Jewelry.
The famous Bollywood Singer, Kishore Kumar was his Maternal Uncle and He helped him a lot in his music and singing journey.
Bappi Da came to Mumbai when he was 19. Nanha Shikari released in 1973 was his first Hindi film for which He composed music.

He got recognition as a Music Director at national level with the Super Hits Songs of Hindi movie, Chalte Chalte released in 1976. Bappi Lahiri born on 27 November 1952, passed away on 15 February 2022 at the age of 69.
